Google had stated recently it banned mining applications from the Play Store. But Even after the ban there are some of the mining applications still live on Google Play Store.
Still we can see some of the Mining Applications Live in the Play Store (Here we haven’t listed them out). These applications are used by users to mine cryptocurrency on their smartphone are not yet banned by Google.
Last time we had seen that Google has added some new policies where they mention that
“We don’t allow apps that mine cryptocurrency on devices. We permit apps that remotely manage the mining of cryptocurrency.”
Even after the Ban we still can see some of the Applications Live on Play Store. They are still Live on Play Store where users can download and use it for mining.
MinerGate had recently launched its Android application and its only for managing and monitoring the mining process which is conducted by the users.
“we removed the mining option from the latest version of our application. The new v.2.4 is designed for monitoring and managing your mining process” stated from their twitter account
What about Mining Applications on Apple Store?
Apple has also made it clear regarding their policy on cryptocurrency mining applications on the Apple Store.
“Apps may not mine for cryptocurrencies unless the processing is performed off device (e.g. cloud-based mining).“ they mentioned this in their app store guidelines.
So Mining Cryptocurrency on the mobile platform is an issue for the mining companies. Due to major markets has put guidelines on banning mining applications in their application stores.
Let’s see for the coming days if they will ban or approve. Some applications are still running on Play Store but I don’t know they will last longer. Soon they might be taken down by Google.
