With a growing popularity, Blockchain is penetrating every possible way we can imagine using. To quote one such instance, the popular festival Ganesh Utsav celebrated in India is leveraging Blockchain tech.
Yes! you read right, the organizers of Ganesh pandal in Andra Pradesh state are now making use of single window system which basically is based on Blockchain technology. With this tech online clearance of over 40,000 pandals is achieved across the state.
This tech was reportedly developed by Zebi Data India Private Limited and also it is the same company responsible for linking all land records in Amaravati city using blockchain. Also, they were successful in processing guest particulars of 200 odd hotels in Visakhapatnam for the Police department.
Benefit to Organisers
Perhaps the most benefitted sector by this innovation is the organisers of Ganesh pandals. The online registration system paved a way to obtain all the required permission from the State police department which otherwise would have been a difficult process to make the background check from the individual department.
Working Procedure of Zebi Blockchain
The process is pretty simple. Once the online request is registered on Zebi Blockchain, the police will coordinate internally with other departments such as the electricity, the fire or the civic body. The applicants will get approval notifications online if the necessary documents are provided.
This certainly is a hassle-free and automated system which can be accessed through all the digital platforms such as mobile, tablet, desktop. The excited CEO Babu Munagala of Zebi Data India Private Limited went on to explain that this is first of its kind in the country and are planning to implement the same other states
Furthermore, he elaborated that the online registration of pandals was done in just a few minutes through mobile OTP verifications and by submitting details of the pandals. After successful registration, a unique QR code is generated through which the police can scan details like geo-location and the idol size.
The real-time processing of pandals is a unique feature of the system and hence helps the police department to quickly assess the submitted information by organizers.
Overall this speeds up the entire process and saves valuable time for both organizers and police as well.
