Paris Saint-Germain Football Club Plans to launch Cryptocurrency

Paris Saint-Germain football club (PSG) is planning to launch its own cryptocurrency. This gives an opportunity for the PSG fans to be involved with the football club.
 
PSG is known as the most popular football club in France. It is also known as one of the world’s richest football clubs. This is because last year the team did the highest transfer of $263 million when they signed Neymar from Barcelona.
 
Currently, PSG has partnered with a blockchain platform Socios which is going to help them to launch their cryptocurrency. Socios has before been in the blockchain business with other football teams. This blockchain platform is based in Malta.
 
“Paris Saint-Germain is determined to leverage the opportunities that cryptocurrency can provide, This revolutionary technology will have an important impact on the club’s overall business strategy and the way we engage with our fanbase” said PSG chief partnership officer, Marc Armstrong
 
This partnership will allow the football club to launch the Fan Token Offering (FTO). And with the token fans will be able to gain voting rights and other services like VIP status or rewards. Here fans will be allowed to vote on the cosmetic decisions of the team, Like clubs jersey color, stadium music, logo, and others. This is great news for the actual fans who would like to be involved in such activities and support their team.
 
Surely the PSG fans will buy the cryptocurrency not just to support but also for the experience and rewards provided by this token. In future other football clubs will adopt a similar way to connect with their fans and also to use blockchain technology.
