Loyalty Wallet Using Blockchain is Launched by Singapore Airlines

Most of the industries in the world are adapting to the blockchain technology, And today we see the airline industry is also using blockchain. A loyalty wallet has been launched by Singapore Airlines, This wallet is based on blockchain technology.

According to SingaporeAir Blog, The Loyalty Wallet is called KrisPay. This initiative is taken by the Singapore Airline Group KrisFlyer. This is really beneficial to the Krisflyer members as they would be able to use KrisPay to spend on various services during their travel.

How Does KrisPay Work?

KrisPay Wallet App is available in Apple and Google Play Store. After downloading the App members of Krisflyer need to log in with their Krisflyer membership number and PIN.

This permits the members to pay a minimum of 15 KrisPay Miles (Equal to 0.10 USD) to pay their partner merchants. Currently, 18 merchants have joined the platform and more are yet to come. This opens a new method of loyalty program payment method and helps the members to use their loyalty Wallet to pay during travel.

“We are excited to be introducing KrisPay, a novel way for our KrisFlyer members to digitally access their miles at their fingertips, at any time.” said Goh Choon Phong CEO of Singapore Airlines.

This application was developed with the collaboration of Microsoft and KPMG Digital Village corporations. Microsoft is also trying blockchain technology on several projects.
