Columbia University with IBM Launches Blockchain Accelerator Program
Columbia University one of the leading universities in New York city has now collaborated with IBM to Launch Blockchain Accelerator Program for Startups.
According to a Press Release By IBM, the tech giant announced on Monday that this Accelerator Program will offer support to entrepreneurs and blockchain network founders. A total of ten startups will be supported by IBM to develop blockchain enterprise networks.
IBM in collaboration with Columbia University will also provide students the assistance for blockchain businesses. Also, they will be having the opportunity to use IBM Cloud technology during the program.
Satish Rao, Executive Director at Columbia Blockchain Launch Accelerator said, this collaboration will benefit the startups by providing IBM’s technology resources and help the New York blockchain communities to grow.
Rao also added,

IBM Blockchain Accelerator managing director, David Post considers, IBM partnering with one of the ivy league institutions will lead to greater support for blockchain startups in future. David also mentioned that Blockchain technology has a lot of opportunities and IBM is looking for talent to build the best applications.
Startups who are willing to join this program need to be affiliated by Columbia University or any other recognized New York City University. Even if the startup is at the “Idea Stage” they can apply for this program.
This is a great opportunity for blockchain startups. Because in this program they will have access to over service and technologies worth $400K.
And the best part is that IBM and Columbia do not take any equity from companies who are joining this program.
